why I love to fish

Fishing is all I do I live on an island surrounded by water so there's really nothing else to do I even take my boat to school. During the summer I work on my cousins 55 ft ocean fishing yacht,I make a pretty good amount of money too. My favourite fish to catch and eat would probably be a Mahi Mahi. When I was younger I used to go fishing with my dad in east end and catch yellow fin tuna witch I still love to today. Most of my friends have boats so on the weekend we all throw some money in for fuel and head out in hopes of catching plenty big fish. When i was growing up I always used to go fishing on my little boat inside the reef for barracudas, jacks, snapper and many more small creatures. As I grew up and got older I started to learn a lot more about deep sea fishing, but many people don't actually know how to deep sea fish because if your bait isn't swimming properly you will never catch anything. One thing I was always thought as a kid is that when you’re on a boat you have to be extra careful because so many bad things can happen so fast on the water. It took me a pretty long time to learn how to fish for deep sea fish but it’s what I was born to do.

When your brother is crazy

Over the weekend my best friend Dylan got his 3

9ft midnight expressed fix with brand new 250s evinrude etec motors. the boat has been sitting down for at least a year and she was pretty dirty from being behind the mechanics house in the bush getting full with leaves. Friday when I got out school I went straight to Matts house and got to work, when I first looked at the boat it didn't look that dirty so I asked Dylan what he wanted me to do. The first thing he said I had to do was scrub the whole boat from top to bottom, it took us all day to do it but we got it done and she was shining. the very next day as I got up I had about ten missed calls from Dylan and guess what he want, he told me to hurry the hell up and come help him and I said what do we need to do bro I thought we were done, then he yelled at me again and said that we need to polish the whole boat and then scrub it again. I can’t say no to Dylan because he is my brother so I got up and went back to Matts to help Dylan. When I got there he had the buffer and everything ready to start for the day, he told me that we had to polish the whole topside of the boat, I grabbed the bag of rags and starting spreading the polish. If you don't already know that when your polishing a boat you have to go slow and be very careful. Four hours later we finally finished polishing the boat so I sat down to have a little break, as I sat down Dylan told me that I had to scrub the boat again and then we had to polish the hull, at this point I was kind of tired so I told Dylan that I was sorry but I can’t work no more so he yelled at me for a couple of minutes and then got up and finished cleaning the boat. 

Summer 2014

Over my summer break back in 2014 all I did was work, but it was work that I really enjoyed and got a very good pay from. Where I live there is canals in front and behind my house and my next door neighbor as the biggest charter company in Cayman. The name of it is Slackem charters and my cousin that runs it has three sport fishing yachts.Ever morning at 5am I used to wake up and head to work, I had to get the boat ready, put oil in the engine, out water in the engine and the fresh water tank,put ice on the drink and last but probably the most important thing is rigging the baits. Working on a boat is very fun and cool but some days we have two charters and when e get in I have to scrub the whole boat, working from 5am to 9 o'clock at night everyday in the hot suns is very tiring but I don't let that stop me because I get paid everyday after the charter, If we have one charter for the day I get 150$ plus tips and if we have two charters for the day I get 225$ plus tips. All summer fourteen I work hard every day with no breaks and at the end of summer in total i made 3000$.
